Lawrence of Arabia.

I was too excited to sit and watch it. Some of us wandered Radio City, and got chatty with the elevator operator. He told us he worked strictly for rent and the nightly cover price of the disco he went to every night. It was 1978, after all.

Next question, big points!:
We visited Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas pageant. What was the name of the oddly incongruent movie that was shown?

You sure about that?

It was Caravans. It was a new release at the time but a boring movie, filmed (at least in part) in Iran. Even Mr. Morrow fell asleep.

Who were Bertha, Bella, and Basheba? (could have been Bathsheba, but I don't remember them pronouncing it that way)

I stand corrected. I guess I just remember the camels or something.

Here's a new question. Not too hard so only 5 points. What song did we perform for a halftime show that featured a hand-cranked siren?

The Theme from SWAT. The guys had fun with the siren on the buses, too - hanging out the window with the siren, they pulled over more than one car.

New question - 20 pts. What was the name of the DCI corps with the unusual production-type show - dancing, costume changes, and VERY different uniforms?

Extra points (10) if you can name where they were from, or what the message said when they flashed their trenchcoats when they came off the line.

Okay, just found this quiz thing. So far I could have gotten Keith Burton, who was my best friend for much of my early childhood, and the bass drums, since I carried Bertha my only year in the band (80-81).

I believe the corps you're looking for is The Bridgemen, also lovingly known as "The Yellow Bananas" because of the long yellow trenchcoats they would open to reveal the message "Welcome Back My Friends To The Show That Never Ends." And I think they were from New York, Long Island maybe?

Okay, curiosity got the best of me and I had to go look it up. It was Bayonne, NJ, home of boxer Chuck "The Bayonne Bleeder" Wepner. And it looks like those kooky kids are still as nutty as ever.
