Wow! Thanks so much for posting this. I had so much fun showing this to my kids.
Well, I'm glad folks are enjoying it. I will pass along these thanks to my Mom, who saved the tapes all these years.
Chris, this is just so wonderful! I have to tell you....my senior year, I was SUPPOSE to be participating in that parade, but my dad was transferred to Memphis and we had to move - I never even got to see it on television so this mean soooooo much...
Chris, Thank you and your mother SO much for this. I also thought I'd never see this again. It actually brought me to tears, and I remembered everything like it was yesterday! Thanks!

- Hey! Wow! Thirty years since the 1979 Macy's Day Parade! OMG time has flown. It seems like a few weeks ago sometimes, yet other times it seems like several lifetimes ago.
What a cool site, thanks to whomever started it up (you!). Odd, to me, that it started up now, I've been thinking a lot lately about the HHS gang.
I've got so much Homewood Memorabilia that I could spend the next two weeks scanning it and recording it. Wonder if I could get paid time off to do it!! LOL
Chris- My second Tuba mentor, after DB. How are you? Where in the world did you come up with those excellent MDP video's? Where you the 1st guy in B'ham to have a VCR/BETA?

You may be correct about the date of the game. It may have been the 1977 Homecoming which would be the last game for the seniors in the 1978 annual.
Do you ever hear from Andrea Kloss? I think she lives in East L.A. (east lower Alabama).

- What have you been up to for the last three decades?
- Too much to write in a 1x4 inch box! Went to Ga Tech, graduated in Electrical Engineering, took a job in Huntsville, got married, have 4 kids, and now I find myself in Seoul.
- What's your fondest memory of the band?
- As far as marching band, probably the parade trip we made - I can remember Mardis Gras Parade, one to Disney World, and of couse Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (I think my Mom still has a video tape of that).
- Anything else you want to share?
- I don't want to short-change orchestra. It probably left a longer lifetime impression on me - I think I appreciate classical music more than others of our generaton because of that experience. And Jazz Ensemble was just plain fun, which I carried over to my first few years at Ga Tech.
