My Bro. Keith told me you were at UAB. Thanks for bringing back that memory of New Orleans. I hadn't thought about that in a while. But that was a moment when you realized maybe our band was something. I felt like an entertainer. See ya round the site.

What section of the band were you in?
Woodwinds
What instrument did you play? (if applicable)
Clarinet
What year did you graduate?
1979
What have you been up to for the last three decades?
Got a degree, became a journalist, then an editor, had two children, segued into academia and internal communications (where hours are better) and moved back to Homewood.
What's your fondest memory of the band?
The most vivid memory: The sight of the people jumping to their feet at the reviewing stand during the Mardis Gras parade, knowing we had put to shame bands much larger than ourselves and feeling a sense of destiny at 16.
And I remember afterward, when Pat Morrow told us that performance had earned us an invitation to NY and Macy's.
